 the faces behind BTC 

Spotlight Dance Team was formed in 1988 as the competitive arm of Maureen's School of Dance located in Chesapeake, VA. Spotlight Dance Team established Be The Change in 2022 in an effort to promote leadership and community involvement through the art of dance. Since its inception, BTC has grown to include the entire competitive program, including Excel Performance Troupe, Excel Ensemble, and MSOD Collective. BTC encompasses the program's mission, philanthropic, leadership, and service endeavors.
